Why Property Track exists
Rightmove carries around 90% of UK property listings across England, Scotland and Wales, but it gives buyers almost no visibility into how an asking price has changed over time. A property that has been quietly reduced by £50,000 looks identical to one freshly listed at its true market value.
Property Track started in October 2023 as a side project after Oliver Benns ran into the same problem during his own house search. Since then it has tracked over 8 million listings.

- Is Property Track free?
- Yes. Property Track is a completely free browser extension available for Chrome, Firefox and Edge. There is no signup, no card required, and no paid tier.
- How do I see price history on Rightmove?
- Rightmove itself only shows a ‘Reduced’ label, not previous prices. Install the free Property Track extension for Chrome, Firefox or Edge and the full asking-price history appears directly on every Rightmove listing page. See our guide to Rightmove price history for the details.
- Does Property Track work on mobile?
- Not yet. Browser extensions only run in desktop browsers, so Property Track works in Chrome, Firefox and Edge on Windows, Mac and Linux. It cannot run inside the Rightmove mobile app, and Safari is not currently supported.
- Is my data private?
- Property Track does not require an account and does not collect personal browsing data. Only public property listing data is stored. See the privacy policy for details.
- What are the London pages?
- This site has two experimental London-only search tools. The Map Search plots for-sale listings on an interactive map with filters Rightmove does not allow, such as service charge and square footage. The AI Search lets you describe what you want in plain English instead of selecting filters.
- Which property sites does Property Track support?
- Property Track currently supports Rightmove, which carries around 90% of UK property listings across England, Scotland and Wales.
- How accurate is the price history?
- It is sourced directly from live Rightmove listing pages, so the history reflects what was actually published on the listing.
- Who built Property Track?
- Property Track is built and maintained by Oliver Benns, an independent software engineer based in London. The publisher is verified on the Chrome Web Store.
